Nichole Shirell is an award-winning author, poet, recording artist, and community strategist from Birmingham, Alabama. Through powerful storytelling and fearless artistic expression, she uses her voice to illuminate both historical and contemporary social issues. Her acclaimed poem “Migraine” stands as a moving testament to the violence impacting the Black community, blending lived experience with unflinching truth.

She is a creator, poet, and cultural curator committed to amplifying marginalized voices through intentional conversation and immersive artistic expression.

Nichole is the creator and host of The Vault Podcasts, a dynamic podcast collective featuring original series such as Green Gas Gala, The Poets List, The Forum, The UnSilenced, and Let The People See. Through The Vault, she opens space for unapologetic storytelling, meaningful discourse, and voices that refuse to be silenced.
